The Community Door
allows Nia Imani to support residents, alumnae, families, partners, and community members beyond the residential units.
Some families may not need housing but still need help finding resources. Some need a safe place to attend a workshop, connect with support, access wellness programming, or be referred to a trusted partner. Some alumnae may need continued connection after leaving residential support.
The Community Door helps Nia Imani remain connected to families before, during, and after crisis.

What the Community Door Offers:

Support helping families identify and connect to community resources, benefits, care providers, housing resources, food access, employment support, and family services.

Workshops hosted with trusted partners around topics such as maternal health, parenting, financial capability, employment, housing readiness, wellness, nutrition, and family stability.

Programming designed to support mothers, children, families, and caregivers with practical tools, community connection, and encouragement.

Supportive programming and referrals for pregnancy, postpartum recovery, infant care, wellness, and family stability.

Connection to food resources, nutrition programming, community food partners, and practical support that helps families meet basic needs.

Help understanding housing options, identifying resources, gathering documents, preparing for applications, and connecting to appropriate housing partners.

Support connecting to job readiness, employment partners, education resources, budgeting tools, financial capability programming, and income-stability resources.

Programming that supports physical wellness, stress reduction, confidence, and community connection.
